For 750g 5 gallon preform mould, it can be made into 1 cavity or 2 cavities. There are two different ways to make 5 gallon PET preform for different cavity. 48 Cavity Preform Mould Maker

72 Cavity Cap Mould

Last month we just delivered a complete preform and cap production line with 3 moulds to our customer including two sets of 72 cavity preform mould and 72 cavity cap mould. Beside the machines, we supplied one DKM650T PET injection molding machine for preform mould and one DKM520T servo motor machine for plastic cap mould production.

For multi-cavity cap mould, we will suggest to use high hardness stainless steel for core and cavity. For the mould base, steel like 1.2311 is a must to make sure the strength of mould. Mould steel lower than P20 is not workable on cap mould more than 48cavity… The most important issue for multi cavity cap mould is the tooling precision and hot runner system. Sino use high precision lather machine and engrain machine to make sure the strict dimension, each cavity should be interchangeable for easy maintenance purpose. A good hot runner system is vital to a cap mould because balance injection and material flowing is very important.

Interchangeable Preform Mould

Sino offers interchangeable preform moulds for high speed and low cost PET preform molding solution.

PET preform moulds has different interchangeable way: core/cavity interchangeable, weight interchangeable or neck screw interchangeable.Core/cavity interchangeable among different cavity number is the most common and basic way. On the multi-cavity preform mould, it is very important to make sure each cavity inserts should be interchangeable, so when one cavity is broken or damaged, you could replace with spare parts easily.

Weight interchangeable is also very common for PET preform molds. If it is weight interchangeable, the weight for different version should be similar. Usually the weight difference should be less than 5 gram for common water bottle preform and 10g for wide mouth preform. The interchangeable way can be only core interchangeable or half mould interchangeable. Half mould interchangeable means you will get 1.5 sets of preform mould with 1 cavity and 2 core side. This is the most popular way for changing weight because it is very convenient for handling.

If it is neck interchangeable, two version of neck should have the same weight. Otherwise, there will be a parting line in the preform body version for the version which is shorter.No matter for weight or neck interchangeable, the tooling should be strictly controlled; otherwise the interchange effect will not be good.

No Tail Preform Mould China

SinoPK, as a leading preform mould maker in China, developed new design no tail preform mould for customers all over the world. 

For the old design preform mould, there is tail on the preform, the operator needs to cut the tail on the preform each time. And the tail will cause a lot preform on the preform mould. Also Long cooling time is required for the tail; otherwise the tail will break easily during production. So this kind of design is out of date because of low efficiency.

With our new design, there is no tail at all. So the is no problem for the break problem, and the cooling time will be much shorter and the productivity of preform mould will also be much higher.

The key technical point for no tail preform mould is to apply valve gate system. Sino use Anole valve gate system with Germen heating elements on our preform mould, which not only sovle the problem of tail, but also grantee the high stable performance of our PET preform mould. The preform made by valve gate system is more beautiful than normal design.
